Privacy Policy
Hamigaki Island (the “App”) helps children enjoy brushing their teeth every day and lets parents keep a record of baby teeth. The App is designed on the principle of not collecting information about children.
1. Information we collect
The App does not send any information about children or parents to our servers or to third parties. There is no account registration, sign-in or cloud sync.
2. Information stored only on the device
- Dates and times of day (morning / night) when teeth were brushed
- Dates when baby teeth came out, and short notes entered by a parent
- The display language setting
- Data used to check the parent PIN and recovery code (the PIN and code themselves are not stored; kept in the device’s protected storage)
This information is stored only on your device and is deleted when you delete the App. Adventure progress and treasures are calculated from these records each time.
3. Camera
Using the camera is optional. Every part of the game can be enjoyed without it. Camera mode is used only when a parent turns it on in the PIN-protected parent screen.
In camera mode, the app finds the position of the face and hands on the device to tell whether the toothbrush (hand) is moving near the mouth. This happens only on the device; video and position data are never stored or sent to us or third parties. No photos or videos are taken.
4. Ads, analytics and external services
The App contains no advertising, analytics or tracking tools, and no in-app purchases or chat. Only the parent menu (protected by a parent PIN) has a button that opens the “Brushing goods” page of our official website in the device browser. This button does not send any App records. The page contains advertising (affiliate links). If you move from that page to an external shop, that shop’s privacy policy applies. Our website does not use cookies for analytics or advertising, but affiliate partners may use cookies after you tap a link.
5. Children’s privacy
The App is designed for children and does not collect children’s personal information. Parent features (baby tooth records, language setting, the brushing goods link) are protected by a parent PIN.
6. Deleting information
You can delete a baby tooth record from the “Tooth map” in the parent menu. Deleting the App deletes all records stored on the device.
7. Changes
If we change this policy, we will announce it on this page.
